Life Chain 2008...the best is yet to come!

Life Chain 2008 will be remembered, I hope, as a new birth for Life Chain in Erie and Niagara counties.

Life Chain during its first 17 years had tried many different things....mini-Life Chains, practice Chains, sign waves at strategic corners during the rest of the year outside of the 1st Sunday in October. In recent years though the scuttle among some was that maybe Life Chain had run its course and its best days were in the past.

You and I know that that can never be. The women and their incoent unborn need our prayers more than ever before! Life Chain will end when and only when the day is won for LIFE and the evil of abortion is a tragic memory!

If we abandoned Life Chain, it would be like abandoning our hope in prayer! Never!

God has promised us the fruits of our prayer labor for the unborn, their mothers, and our great country.

So enter the 2008 Life Chain, Dr. Alveda King and the extension of the route south to include the abortion clinic and Planned Parenthood!

The result was a doubling of our numbers from 2007!

The Life Chain faithful stepped up their efforts. The Children of Mary Homeschoolers and the 40 Days crew (thanks so much to Dr. Stan Bukowski and Ellen Watson) spearheaded the challenge of the new 1.5 mile stretch to 2500 Main St. and we saw the ultimate power of faith and prayer!

New groups that you'll learn more about through this blog came out and witnessed also!

And as always the Catholic Dicoese through the Pro-Life Office and Dawn Iocano with Miriam Escalante were a rock of strength that lifted Life Chain up on eagle's wings!
